THE SPACE INBETWEEN

Installation, Origami Paper Leaves, Custom-Made Machines

The Space Inbetween, is an installation exploring the cyclical nature of beginnings and endings and the transformative, often ambiguous spaces in between. It reflects on how the new emerges through the letting go of the old, embracing transition as an ongoing, collective, layered process.

The installation consists of five custom-made machines suspended from the ceiling that over the course of the exhibition, periodically release handmade origami paper leaves into the air. After a brief, fluttering descent, the leaves settle on the ground. Some leaves contain fragments of text on change, disruption, and renewal.
